just a couple more shots of the pumpkin patch..... The rest of the weekend consisted of ??????Yes you guessed it, working on the house.
Last weekend I spent Saturday painting the downstairs bathroom, then Sunday I sanded and stained the cabinets in there! They turned out pretty good. The cabinets are old and on the side they are falling apart a bit, but you can't see it. It does look good and it will have to do for awhile!
This weekend I helped Scott rip out the rest of the carpet and linoleum in the hall and downstairs bathroom and get the floor cleaned and ready to tile. He also put up a new light fixture in the bathroom down there. Sunday morning he had to work and I went shopping. I took back things curtain rods and lighting that we decided not to use. Then I picked a wine table and window coverings for down stairs. I love my window coverings. We kept trying different curtains but they just didn't look right. Finally we got these coverings and they look so good! I also put together the wine cabinet (with a little help from Scott). I was quite proud. I did screw up a couple of spots where I pushed the little dowels right through to the outside. We had to glue the pieces of press board back. Luckily it is on the side where you can't see it! (The pictures aren't great of the cabinet, but check out hte great picture above it!)
I booked a trip to Las Vegas on the 8th of Nov. to see Domminick (Scott's son) graduate from the police academy. We are leaving on Wednesday evening, the graduation is on Thursday, then we will leave about midnight and arrive back in San Luis Obispo at 1:30 in the morning. We are going to Palm Springs that weekend so I am not sure how we ere handling that yet!

Well, I was thinking about building a wine cabinet next summer however (and you are more the expert than I) I am wondering that with kids someday running around my house, wont those glasses and bottles at eye level be a little too tempting?
