Last weekend Scott and I , Melissa, Matt and the kids went down to Dustin and Kelly's for the weekend! We had great fun and their house turned out beautiful! We arrived late on Friday night. On Saturday it was a bit rainy but by noon it started clearing up. So we all piled in the Tahoe and went to Balboa Island. We walked around, took Angela on the merry-go-round, and had lunch there. It was fun! Went back to Dustin's to put the kids down for a nap and Kelly had to go to work for a couple of hours. She is a part of a staff that works with High School age kids at the biggset church (in Newport) I ever saw. So we picked her up after the Saturday night service and we headed over to downtown Disney. The first place we went (after putting our name at the rainforest cafe) was to the ESPN center so Scott could catch the rest of the UCLA final four game! He was pretty excited that they won. Since our wait to eat was about two hours we walked around and window shopped. It was fun. I love just being with Angela whenevver I can! She is such a joy and so fun to be with! Of course I love being with everyone! It was such a good time! By the time we got to eat it was almost 10:00. Angela was being good as gold. Of course Mason was too but then he was sleeping by this time in his little carrier. I wanted to go to the Rainforest Cafe because I thought it would have atmosphere and Angela would have fun. The only problem was when the make beleive rain started with the lights going off and on and the thunder she got a little scared. She never really cried but her eyes got wide and she would say " I am tired I want to go. " I finally convinced her to put her head on my lap and she did and fell asleep. I carried her all the way back to the car. I couldn't let her go! All in all it was a very fun day. On Sunday we just hung around the house for a bit. I walked down the street with Angela to a playground where there were all sorts of kids to play with. Then Kelly, Melissa and I went shopping at Old Navy. Got back to the house and the guys had barbecued a tri-tip and made a salad. We left a little after 4:00 and got home a little after 8:00. I really had such a fun weekend! It was great to see Dustin and Kelly because I miss them so much! Why do kids have to grow up and go away? Well I got to go to bed so I will say goodnight!
