My best ever Christmas ornament! My brothers and sister and I have been exchanging ornaments for Christmas for over 20 years and although I have gotten many nice ones, I have never gotten one that meant more to me then this one! Thank you Diane! It brought tears to my eyes and a bitter sweet feeling to my heart! I know how much we all miss these two wonderful people, more than can be put into words! My thoughts are with them so much! But there is this joy at Christmas that I always feel and I can't help to give credit to Mom and Dad. Mom always had the decorations up all over the house, the music on the day after Thanksgiving, Dad taking us out and getting the tree and singing Christmas carols while decorating it. Speaking of Carols....I bet my siblings will remember the car trips up to the Bay area to stay with Nana and Grandpa for Thanksgiving. We could not fall asleep if you sat in the front with Dad and we couldn't sing Christmas Carols till the trip home. We did sing "Over the River and Through the Woods on the way there....However on the way home we sang Christmas carols for hours. It least it seemed like hours to me! What wonderful memories. Of course there was no better smell than fresh baked fruit bread. No better taste either! I feel their presence so much this time of year because our house was always filled with so much Joy at Christmas time and when I opened my ornament I was overcome! Diane you are the greatest sister anyone could ever ask for! I thank God you are in my life!

I am so happy you like the ornament. Of course, I surely ditto everything you said about mom and dad. They gave us so much and hopefully we have been able to continue passing this wonderful spirit along to future generations. You are so very welcome, my dear sister. I love you.

OK...you two are making me cry! I have very special memories of Christmas growing up and almost all of them include Grandma and Grandpa! They had the best home for all of us to gather and be together. Formal dinners for everyone in the dining room, interviews by Uncle Ron on Grandpa's chair, fruit bread (of course!),and so much more! The love of our family and the traditions passed down mean more to me than almost anything!!
