I know I am late getting this posted but I have been busy. Last Friday evening Scott and I drove down to Palm Springs. I was a little worried that it would be a hot trip, but as it turned out it was absolutely gorgeous there. It was in the high 70's and low 80's with a breeze. Perfect weather. We arrive pretty late so we could have All day Saturday. Dustin came down after his Saturday class. Kelly had gone to Yosemite with her church group. Although we missed Kelly, it was so nice to spend one on two with him. I don't remember the last time we had that privilege. It was truly wonderful! Then on Sunday we had more visitors. Chelsea drove down (yes she is driving now) with Savannah. We took them out to lunch at Palapa's. They have the most wonderful shrimp taco's. (a side note to Diane, they have open one right down from the freeway on Date Palm. Yeah!) we got tired of driving to Desert Hot Springs for them. We even took the girls and Dustin of course to look at the model homes across from Outdoor resorts. I thought Ron might appreciate that! A little later Lee and Bridgette showed up. We visited, had cocktails and appetizers on the patio after hanging out by the poolside. Some of my most favorite things to do. They all stayed till quite late. On Monday Dustin left about 11:30. He was trying to wait for Bridgette and the girls to come but he had to get on the road. So the gang all came back on Monday (except Lee who was working) bringing all sorts of munchies and dinner and even some drinks. We again went to Palapa's for lunch then headed back to do the pool thing again. Lee showed up a bit later and we all played in the pool. Yes even Scott got into the action. See pictures for proof! We had another great day and evening! They all left a bit earlier than the night before although not by much. Lee had to get up at 4:00 in the morning both days. Scott and I got up Tuesday, Cleaned did laundry and shut the place back down for the summer! I will miss it! It has been odd this year because I have been down twice this year without Diane and Ron. There place was so empty and lonely! We actually hung at Dad's (as I will probably always call it) for the whole time. It was cool being on the golf course and watching the ducks and stuff. We had a great weekend for sure!
Oh by the way, escrow closed today on our second laundry mat. Pictures and details to follow!
