I didn't write last night because we got home so late and I was tired. So....
Yesterday Melissa, Angela and I went to Santa Maria to do a little shopping. We also had lunch at The Red Lobster. We love hit that place whenever we go to Costco's. Although with me starting back to work next week we won't being doing lunch much for awhile. (So we are doing as much as possible now.) At Costco's I ended up buying a bunch of stuff to take up to Derrick and a couple of things for my mom and dad. So we did stop by thier house on the way home. Aunt Betty and Uncle Jack were there. We couldn't stay long because I had to get home and get ready to hit the road to Derrick's in Monterey.
When we got back to the house we went through our cubboard's here and pack up a bunch more stuff for Derrick. Since Matt and Melissa moved in we had duplicate's of so much and the cubboard's were so full, it was a great time to thin them out. We got on the road about 5:30 (a bit later than we had hoped) and pulling a trailer the going was even slower. We finally arrived around 8:00. His roomates were there to help unload. He showed us his place. The campus itself is the old Fort Ord and where his is going to live is the old family housing. But it is nice because they just put in all new carpeting and tile. We only stayed for about an hour then we did a quick stop at Taco Bell then on the road again. We got home at midnight.

No pictures! I thought we might get some photos of Derrick's new place.
I did stay with Carol when she and Mike were stationed there during the Viet Nam war. So I can envision it a little. But then that was 1969.
